Land of Ice and FIre Ep.2

The Western and Southern Rings Road

Foss and falls

The most common attraction along the Southern Ring Road are the waterfalls. You can find them on the maps pretty easily. Everyplace with a nice waterfall has the affix “foss” due to its roots as a Northern Germanic language. Every single one of them is unique, though, you don’t have to visit all of them. Pick and choose wisely.

Stone formations and coastlines

Astonishing stone formations can be found both in the Snæfellsjökull National Park and along the Ring Road. Park your car and a short hike will bring you to the nearest viewpoint. Just observe the coastline will help you imagine how they were formed.

Snæfellsjökull National Park

Other than the stone formations and peculiar coastline, Snæfellsjökull National Park is also home to multiple Game of Throne shooting locations and sites full of interesting historic origins.
